26028 | Interim Commercial Manager – Building Materials
For an international manufacturer of technical building materials, we are looking for an Interim Commercial Manager for an initial period of 8–12 months (fulltime or minimum 28–32 hours per week).

Our client is an innovative European supplier of certified building systems and technical solutions. The company serves customers in the construction and industrial sectors and has built a strong reputation through technically advanced, high-quality and sustainable solutions.
As part of its international growth strategy, the organization aims to establish and expand its commercial presence in the Benelux market.
To support this ambition, the company is looking for an entrepreneurial and commercially driven interim professional who can help define and execute a successful market entry strategy and build the commercial foundation for future growth.
The Assignment
The Interim Commercial Manager will be responsible for developing and executing the market entry strategy for the Benelux region. The assignment starts with analysing the market, evaluating routes-to-market, identifying relevant commercial partners and customer segments, and developing a pragmatic growth plan to be presented to international headquarters. Following approval, the focus will shift towards commercial business development, introducing the company’s products and systems to specifiers, contractors, distributors, dealers and applicators in the Dutch construction market. In a later stage, the Interim Commercial Manager will support the setup of a lean local commercial structure, including customer support and after-sales processes, creating the foundation for sustainable growth in the region.
The Ideal Candidate
The ideal Interim Commercial Manager combines strategic insight with a hands-on commercial mindset and a strong network in the building materials sector. The assignment requires someone who can both design the roadmap and execute it in practice.
Profile
· Proven commercial experience within building materials, construction products or technical building systems
· Strong understanding of the Dutch and/or Benelux construction market
· Experience with market development, business development and commercial growth strategies
· Entrepreneurial, independent and execution-driven personality
· Able to operate strategically while remaining highly pragmatic and hands-on
· Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
· Experience working with contractors, specifiers, distributors and applicators is highly preferred
· Fluent in Dutch and English
