The Organization

Our client is a long-established, family-owned medical device company with a strong reputation for quality and trusted partnerships with healthcare professionals. The company is now seeking a Head of Sales Benelux to stabilize and further strengthen its presence within the Benelux region.

 

The Role

This is a leadership position responsible for driving the commercial agenda across the Benelux region. The new Head of Sales Benelux will lead and develop the regional sales organization, ensure close alignment with strategic business goals, and strengthen the company’s market position.

 

Ideal Candidate 

Background and Experience

  • 10+ years of B2B commercial experience in the medical sector, with a strong record in business development and key account management.
  • Solid knowledge of the Dutch and Belgian healthcare environment, ideally including reimbursement systems and patient care networks.
  • Proven success in growing business in competitive markets through value-based selling and strong customer relationships.
  • Leadership experience in guiding sales professionals, coaching teams, and creating structure in commercial organizations.
  • Hands-on experience in the Benelux market and willingness to travel regularly across the region.
  • Relevant degree in business, healthcare, or related field.

  • Hands-on, team-oriented leader who builds trust and supports the team in the field.
  • Brings structure and stability while setting clear, realistic goals.
  • Strong communicator, able to connect with diverse stakeholders in a respectful and professional way.
  • Skilled in coaching and developing people, encouraging growth through support and empowerment.
  • Resilient and persistent, with the ability to navigate complex markets calmly and confidently.
  • Analytical and adaptable, able to translate market insights into clear actions and manage cultural differences across the region.

 

Language Proficiency

  • Fluency in Dutch and English is a must, both verbal and written.
  • French is a big advantage, additional languages like German are a plus.
