The assignment
For an international manufacturing company, we are seeking an Interim ESG Corporate Controller to strengthen ESG reporting, control, and compliance at a corporate level during a critical reporting cycle.
This is a hands-on interim role with a clear mandate: bring structure, control, and reliability to ESG reporting in line with CSRD requirements.
Key responsibilities
- Own and enhance ESG reporting processes and internal controls at corporate level
- Coordinate end-to-end ESG data collection, validation, and consolidation across functions (e.g. Procurement, HSE, Operations)
- Ensure accuracy, completeness, and audit-readiness of ESG data and disclosures
- Lead the preparation of internal and external ESG reporting
- Drive the CSRD-aligned sustainability statement, ensuring compliance with ESRS standards
- Oversee EU Taxonomy reporting requirements and integration into reporting cycles
- Act as key contact for external audit and assurance processes on ESG reporting
- Align ESG reporting with broader financial control and reporting frameworks
- Translate evolving ESG regulations into pragmatic, scalable reporting processes
Profile
- Minimum 6+ years’ experience in finance/control, ideally with ESG/CSRD exposure
- Strong background in financial reporting, internal controls, and audit/assurance
- Proven experience with CSRD / ESRS and ESG reporting frameworks
- Able to operate at corporate level and manage multiple stakeholders effectively
- Hands-on, structured, and delivery-focused
- Fluent in English

- Interim assignment: 3–6 months
- 4 days per week
