25009 | Associate Partner | Kienbaum Netherlands (Amsterdam)

Entrepreneurial. International. Impactful.

At Kienbaum, we are a progress company — for people, for organizations, and for the future. Founded in 1945, we are one of Europe’s leading HR consultancies, combining Executive Search, Leadership Advisory, and Board Services. With over 80 years of experience and a presence in more than 20 countries, we empower people and organizations to thrive in tomorrow’s professional world.

About Kienbaum Netherlands

Our Amsterdam office, established in 2004, is home to an international and close-knit team that combines professionalism with entrepreneurship, energy, and humor. We work across sectors such as Industrial, High-Tech, Technology, Building & Construction, Defence & Security and ESG/Sustainability, serving a diverse client base of family-owned businesses, private equity and venture capital firms, scale-ups, and (mid-sized) multinationals.

In addition to Executive Search, we offer Leadership Assessment & Development, Board Services, and Interim Executives, supported by a high-quality research team and an advanced AI-driven workflow system. Our culture is defined by collaboration, trust, personal growth, and shared ambition — and yes, we believe in enjoying the work (our office gym helps too!).

The Role

We are seeking an Associate Partner — a driven and entrepreneurial professional who will build and lead their own practice area, contribute to the growth of our organization, and inspire clients and colleagues alike.

You will:

  • Develop your own client portfolio and market domain within preferable complementary growth areas.
  • Lead Executive Search assignments from start to finish — from business development and client advisory to candidate identification, assessment, and placement.
  • Collaborate closely with our research and consulting teams to deliver tailored, high-quality solutions.
  • Contribute to Kienbaum’s broader portfolio, including Assessments, Board Services, and Leadership Advisory.
  • Participate in international practice groups and share insights across our global network.

This is a role for someone who enjoys autonomy, values teamwork, and thrives in a dynamic, intellectually challenging, and people-cantered environment.

Who You Are

  • Experienced: Minimum 10 years of relevant professional experience, including at least 5 years in executive search or consultancy.
  • Entrepreneurial: You identify opportunities, act on them, and build lasting client relationships.
  • Commercially strong: Proven success in winning and managing client assignments.
  • Well-connected: A broad network at senior management or board level within the Dutch business community.
  • Linguistically proficient: Fluency in Dutch and English, both written and verbal, is mandatory.
  • Internationally minded: Experience working in multicultural environments.
  • Authentic and inspiring: You combine professional excellence with warmth, humor, and curiosity.

What We Offer

  • A partnership opportunity within one of Europe’s top HR consultancies (Top 5 in Europe, Top 10 globally).
  • Access to Kienbaum’s strong international brand, network, and tools, including the Kienbaum Academy for continuous learning.
  • The freedom to build your own business domain within a respected and well-established firm.
  • A hybrid work environment with flexibility, autonomy, and an inspiring office culture in Amsterdam.
  • A team that celebrates success together — from strategy sessions to summer parties.

If you’re ready to take ownership, grow your own practice, and help leaders and organizations progress, we’d love to meet you.
